Tascam Model 12 Audio interface - Sound output Headphones for channel 1&2 (PC) both on left side

Hi there,

maybe one of you can help me out with this issue.

I have connected my Tascam Model 12 via USB with my PC. I have setup the Mode for channel 1 and 2 to PC. On the output level indicators I have signal on both left and right. On my headphones I only have signal on the left side.

For example, if I mute channel 2, then I can listen to the sound of channel 1 on the left side of my headphone. If I mute channel 1, then I can listen to the sound of channel 2 again on the left side of my headphone. If I unmute both channel 1 and 2, then I can listen to the sound for both channels again on the left side of my headphones, but it is a bit higher in volume.

I really don't know what am I missing.

Is there anyone who can help me out with this issue?

did you pan channel 2 all the way to the right?

If you’re using a jack adapter such as this

make sure it’s ok. I’ve seen strange ones that are mono at the input(!) and stereo at the output. Connecting your headphones to such a (faulty?) one will make all the sound appear in only one ear.
