Tascam model 24 screen not changing

My new tascam model 24's screen reads Tascam model 24. It wont change to menu or at all. Am I not doing something?

I solved, top gain knobs to left and volumes down. It's still new, learning.

None of the above options work for me- removed card- turned off and on; also with jog button held down; turned all knobs full counter clockwise all volumes down- what should I do next?

Should I connect this via USB to a computer? Assuming there is some sort of software or firmware update? Or is that not needed?

I ended up getting it to work by holding down an “F” button under the screen- not sure which one because I held all four down Or else it was just coincidence and it decided to work?!?

With every new piece of equipment, one of the first procedures that should be done is to upgrade the firmware. Check the manual and follow the firmware upgrade procedure.
