I just figured out how to move a Manual project to a Pocket Studio project.

1. create a new Folder and open it.
2. open Pocket Studio, creating a new project from the menu. record one mic track to init the project.
3. close app and shut down machine
4. remove ssd
5. open the ssd on your computer.
6. copy the .wav files from your Manual project to your Pocket Studio project. DO NOT MOVE THE .BIN file. That contains the app-specific information.
7. now, say your Manual project .wav files are all named SONG_0035_1.WAV through SONG_0035_6.WAV, and your pocket studio project files is SONG_0040_1-2.WAV.
a) delete SONG_0040_1-2.WAV.
b) rename SONG_0035_1 through 6 to SONG_0040-1 through 6.
c) no need to change the mix file. just mix it again.
d) again, don't touch the SONG_0040.BIN file.

you're done. now remember to properly eject the disk, put the SSD back in your TASCAM X8, and open the project in pocket studio--and there's your project, safe and sound and working.

If someone has figured this out before, apologies for thinking I invented sliced bread 🍞 😀

and I put it in the right place !
The DP’s “AudioDepot” is like that - there’s a coupla “rules” to follow…but if used correctly, it’s a very useful capability!

You're using the DP-006 Pocketstudio? (I notice the app on the X8 separates that into "Pocket Studio".)

Actually, my DP is an O/G DP-32…

I also have the great little DP-008ex, but that doesn’t have “AudioDepot” (just ordinary import/export functions)…
