Tmd 8000 Midi transport

Hello. I have a Tascam tmd 8000 and I'm trying to set the transport option via MIDI. I'm using a MIDI TO USB device to connect the board but does not emit signals, also in Sync part of MTC says that is not available in version. That will be the problem? or be a hardware problem? The MIDI TO USB device works correctly with other devices.
