I've given up on resurrecting my SX-1, at least for now, but I am going to hang on to it. The problem I'm facing now is that I have projects, and most importantly, multitracks that weren't backed up. Is there any way of extracting that information directly from the hard drive to my computer? I understand that the SX-1 runs on an obscure operating system, but got the impression that there was a way of installing that OS on my computer so the multitracks can be read. Am I correct in this?

You should be able to mount it as a slave drive via an adapter if you don't have a spare IDE drive connection on your computer and open the audio clips within each project.
