Trimming beginning

Forgive me, guys, for another dumb question, but the DP24 is a lot different than the 2488, and I can't remember how to do this THERE, either. The beginning of my recorded song has about 9 seconds of silence before the count in. I didn't worry about it because I know there's a way to trim the silent beginning off....but I can't remember how, anymore. What's the procedure for this?

The procedure is:

1. Download the DP-24 User Manual.
2. Navigate to page 60: Section 8 - Track Editing
3. Take note of the CUT and SILENCE functions which were designed for editing just like you are asking.
4. Work with the editing section until you become proficient at it.
