Hi All,

Does it seem possible that I could save sysex files from my computer on a DP-24 formatted SD card, then insert the SD into my DP24 and transfer them via midi to a casio cz-101 so as to then save them to a cz-101 capable memory cartridge?

Thanks!

AFAIK, the original DP-24 with MIDI doesn't have the MIDI sophistication to serve as an intermediary.

Thanks Mark.
Yeah, it seemed like a longshot. If I'd have found free cz-101 patches online, I'd have tried to find a method of doing it, but it doesn't make sense to pay for any without knowing there's a way.

Hey there tapeo - why not use a sysex librarian on your computer to transmit the sysex directly to the Casio?

i recommend u look into an inexpensive interface that is compatible w ur computer. if u get an inexpensive midi interface, u can transmit the MIDI sysex using a program like ‘sysex librarian’ for Mac into your Casio w/o needing the Tascam.

There are lots of brands but I like the mio x/xc because it is super convenient and portable (and u can keep it in your backpack when u dont need it): https://www.iconnectivity.com/mioxc
