Uploading to laptop question

Hi everyone. I have been enjoying my model 24 for a few months now, but I have a question about uploading music from it to my laptop. I am able to connect to the laptop and copy the wav file to my computer but it plays back on my laptop at a low volume. Is there something I'm not doing in the transfer to make it louder? Any input appreciated.
