Hi,
I have been using the US-144 MKII as an ADC for vinyl ripping to my PC, which is running Windows 7 SP1. I have been recording at 24 bit 96kHz sample rate. With driver 2.03 I would set this on my PC by going to Control Panel>Sound and selecting the Recording tab. I would select Line In TASCAM US-144 MKII, click on Properties, and select the Advanced tab. Under Default Format options my options were: 2 Channel, 16 bit with 44100, 48000, 88200, or 96000 Hz, and 2 channel, 24 bit with 44100, 48000, or 96000 Hz. I would select 2 channel, 24 bit, 96000Hz.
Yesterday I installed driver 2.05 and when I went to Control Panel>Sound>Recording tab>TASCAM Properties>Advanced tab there were no 24 bit options under Default Format options. Did driver 2.05 remove the 24 bit options? I didn't see any errors during the 2.05 installation, but I guess something could have failed during the installation. Has anyone else seen the same thing with driver 2.05?
I've reinstalled driver 2.03 to return to the 24 bit 96kHz recording capability. Thanks in advance for your help.
