US 1800
Hi all,

I recently got a new laptop which inevitably came with windows 8 and can't get my US 1800 working properly (or at all for that matter)

I downloaded the latest drivers off the tascam website and installed them, it said the installation was succesful but if i open the control panel it says no drivers installed, no device connected.

Then if i open Reaper (the DAW i use) i can select US 1800 as the aiso driver but it only comes up with two mic channels rather than what the interface actually has, and no sound comes through these if i do plug in mics to the first two channels on the interface.

Anybody here had better luck with Windows 8, or is there something silly i'm doing wrong?

I could always go back to 7 i know but i'd rather get it working as is.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)

Just helped my mate sort his US1800 on Windows 8 64bit laptop. It wouldn't work on the USB3 ports but hey presto it was fine with the USB2.0 port on his laptop. I would imagine it's probably the same with the othe US models. Just make sure you have the 64bit drivers off the Tascam site if you're on a 64bit computer
