Using Mono Tracks Twice?

This may sound like a stupid question, but I have just bought the DP 32SD and am wondering if each mono track can be recorded on twice and then panned out to L & R? Or is it just the case that you can only record on each track once but you have to choose between stereo or mono?

I'm just curious how to actually record 32 individual tracks on it?!

Short answer...no

Less short answer....record two mono tracks and then bounce them L/R to a stereo track
