Does anyone know if the X-48 supports record/playback of MIDI data tracks in DAW mode?
We use the X-48 with the DM4800 and automation on the DM4800 appears pretty much on par with console automation in pre-DAW era and pales in comparison to what can be done on a DAW these days. If the X-48 is capable of recording and playing back MIDI data in its 48 tracks, we would seek to shift all console automation data from the console to the DAW. Currently console automation data is stored separately on console's CF card and access is slow and sometimes unpredictable comparing to DAW based automation (Pro Tools, Logic, etc.).
Any pointers would be most appreciated.
