X 48 System Restore CD

Here’s what I did -
Grab the system install/restore DVD .iso file for the x-48MKII from Tascam’s European site (the US site has only the x-48 original cd image):
https://www.tascam.eu/en/downloads/X-48MKII
Burn the image to a physical disk.
then, follow the instructions in the MKII manual:

I just fired up my 2 machines for the first time in about 5 years. One of them sprang to life like new. The other is stuck on Host Not Responding message and red flashing meter lights. I can't even open the CD tray. Any ideas?
