Clock Settings

this question is for Greg, Merlin or anyone else who has 2 SX's synced...I'm having some noise problems and I read a post on the old forum from Greg saying that: "the issue was with the clock setting"...how did you adjust the settings to eliminate the noise?

the noise isn't on the tracks, so it can't be eliminated with gates or eq...it's directly related to the clock settings because when I shut off the settings, the noise stops BUT the slave SX's tracks can't be heard...once I change the settings again, the audio is heard BUT so is the noise...
I really need help with this...
anyone???
