Is the following cable (from Insight.com) suitable for connecting DR-05X to USB3 (MacOS) in order to transfer recordings to the Macbook ?

Sorry to hear your DR-05 didn't come with an O/M (even sorrier if you're unable to read it! )
I'm no expert here - I've never even seen a DR-05x...and I wouldn't choose a ModelXX if I was at gunpoint.
But my quick look at the DR's O/M online shows: the DR has instructions for connection to computers on p.12; it appears to me that the cable you'd use is determined by having a Micro-B USB on the DR end, and whatever the USB connection is on yr MacBook.
But that's just my interpretation, bein' a "readin' man"...
