DP-008 EX track problem

Hi. I am trying to import tracks from my computer and I can see those fine in the Tascam. When I begin importing it doesn't work, reading file on the screen is stuck and nothing happens. Only way to get the power off is taking DC cable off the machine. Tracks are in 44.1 kHz and 16 bit and in wav. Everything should be like it is supposed to be but its not working. Help please?

Did you change the name(s) after exporting to your computer? Making the names longer than ... 8 (I think it is) might cause them not to be imported - or whatever is happening here.

We tried everything and when track was sent to me as mp3 and I converted it to WAV, then it worked nicely. Strange.

My friend is using Zoom and it seems that they are using different kind of a system. Although it is in WAV but still Tascam didn't take it in. When I converted it to WAV again, then it worked. Strange.
