dr-05xp rec and i/o settings

hello,

i just bought a dr-05xp and im planning to use it to record rehearsals of my band.

its my first time using this kind of field recorders and im overwhelmed by the the menu and settings.

my question is what is your best rec and i/o settings on the menu when recording band rehearsals or gigs?thanks

@jewiw, welcome to the community.
TASCAM products usually default to the optimum settings for live music, so since you're new to this, I suggest you go with whatever TASCAM recommends in the "Recording" chapter of the owner manual. The manual does a good job of explaining the "whats", and more importantly, the "whys".

And to assure trouble free operation, be sure to confirm the firmware is most current and that you use only TASCAM tested/certified SD cards.
