Hi there I am new to the forum, I was having a read though some posts to see if anyone might have tried this before but can't find anything so thought I would ask.
I have a Tascam DR-40 which got water damaged and won't switch on anymore. I've tried drying it and think I have to accept it is dead. But I wondered if it would be possible to repurpose the built in condenser mics, has anyone ever tried this or got any idea if it would be possible? ie. removing them from the broken device and using them as in input to a different device...
All the best
