DR-44WL Version 2?

A new ebay item shows a DR-44WL with a "Version 2" sticker on the box. https://www.ebay.com/itm/113895711024 The DR-44WL appears to have been silently discontinued (it is no longer shown on the Tascam web site) and I do not recall seeing a Version 2. What is a Version 2 DR-44WL?

Apparently, DR-44WL "Version 2" refers to the firmware, which we all already have or can download and install, not any hardware improvement, like reliable WiFi.
