External mic pre amps with the dp24sd ?

Yes. Use the Line input.

mjk, when you say use the line input, do you mean keep the channel trim control to the left or is there actually a line input?

He means to use any input and keep the trim knob fully counterclockwise.

Thanks for the replies...... I was asking because I've read on some forums that the external preamp can "argue" with the internals .

I recorded a CD using an Audient preamp through my Tascam Neo (with the trim knob fully counterclockwise) with no problems. The Audient preamp has MUCH more gain and detail for acoustic instruments and sounds great through the Tascam preamps
