Fader Board

After start up Diagnostics fader #14 #15 #16 and major fader issue checked HHD ok , Reseated all boards any other ideas maybe pull the fader board take it to who may repair them or has one any help would be appreciated and who knows where the fader board is even located on the machine Ray

Sorry; would love to offer suggestions, but I don’t own/use an SX-1. And the inquiry itself is pretty indeterminate.

You take the trim off the fader panel and it lifts up. All those screws above and below the faders need to come off to remove the fader board, the parts that you touch to mix pull right off, then a couple of connectors inside and the fader board is free for removal.

Thank you @RussD for submitting the video.

This is a video of a technician replacing a motorized fader in a DM-24. These are the exact same faders used in the SX-1 so the procedure is the same. This particular tech is using solder wicking braid to remove the solder from around the fader board connections (and he is quite proficient at it!), however, I prefer to use a solder sucker for this kind of stuff.
