Agreed...if I had any occasion whatsoever to open up my Tascams (in particular my 2488neo and my O/G DP-32) I would ABSOLUTELY undertake a major cleanup/button-lube...

I just completed the screen replacement and layer button deox-it tweak, both were successful and the new screen looks great! I also installed a 2seemy card while I had the board open.

And since I need to use all 4 expansion slots, I ran the ribbon out to a makeshift “enclosure” w the vga port card mounted. The enclosure consists solely of the 2seemy slot panel and a spare Dm expansion slot cover, connected with four screws and 1cm spacers. Keeps the contacts from touching, but I would love to 3D print a better solution.

I followed all the instruction, though I think I have the newer version of this display, with the already fitting Molex pin. and it turns on, but its just blue... turning the blue trimmer just turns it brighter or darker, but I can't see anything on it...
Has anybody encountered this before? Did I do something wrong?
Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Hello, I got the same at mine. The display is all blue. Did you find a solution to fix it?

@Vincent If you mean you still have an original Tascam display, then the display filling up with blue lines can be expected, unfortunately.

This thread IS actually one of the solutions: buying the replacement display that this thread is about should work and you end up with an even better display than the original.

Hello, I replace my LCD last year and have to adapt because do not come with the right connector. Could you send a picture of your LCD board,
DO you insert the flat cable on the right side? if compatible screen, could be inverted.
