[SOLVED] Says "USB Connected" but Windows reports no drive

Hello

I've been using my DR-40 for a couple of years now for personal recordings and it worked fine.

Recently, I noticed it's having a hard time working with Windows (7): When connecting it through USB and choosing Storage, the Tascam says "USB Connected" but Windows sees no external drive.

I did the following, all to no avail:

• Waited several minutes
• Tried two different Windows 7 computers
• Tried two different USB cables
• Disabled anti-virus software
  
• Changed the batteries

FWIW, it's up to date since it's using 1.30. There are no items in the Tascam's menus that looked like they were USB-related.

Has someone seen this?

Right after posting the above, I tried yet a third USB cable... and it worked fine.

Very strange :-/
