Before I sell my Model 12 for parts, has anyone come up with a solution? Mailed the unit to CA for repair (no warranty) but they said “probably the mother board - repair exceeds the valued of the unit”.

Sorry to hear this. I am having the same issue. None of the workarounds on other posts have had any effect.

I have found that if I turn it off, wait an hour or two and turn it on again, it works fine. I only turn it one once a day. Tascam’s suggestion was to “replace the mother board - that might fix it….”

I’m keeping it - it works fine if I only turn it on and leave it on till I’m done for the day.

I really liked the Model 12, but I think its time to try something else.

Edit: Amazon has a zero interest promotion on this bundle if you use the Amazon credit card. 12 equal payments of $58 charged automatically. Between the headphones and the zero interest, it was a no brainer. I added the 3 year extended warranty. I hope I never have to use it!
