Not sure if this is possible. I know it is possible to delete part of a track but is it possible to delete 1 note from a track.
I have recorded a track on my guitar that I am happy with but I hit 1 note by accident and rather than punch in over a whole section I was wondering if anybody has tried to erase 1 single note. Thanks in advance.

You'll have to use the editing tools creatively, but yes, it's possible. RTM and/or sticky-posts on the subject of editing (basically, you'll be putting markers around the section you want to keep; then MOVING it to the location you wanted it to begin, over-writing the location of the unwanted note).

On most PortaStudio's, there's a "cut" function in the [EDIT] menu...but it won't function on very short selections (like one note long). So you'll have to get creative.
You can stop by my place with your '008 and I'll do it for you...but I've got Alan Parsons over for nachos and chocolate milk, while we discuss my studio routing design, so I'm pretty busy today...

EDIT:
Re-reading your post, it wasn't exactly clear what you wanted to do...I sensed it's possible that you DON'T want to remove a section of what you recorded - just SILENCE it.
This also is limited by the editing tools (you can't select such a short segment for editing, including the [SILENCE] command)...
This ALSO is solvable by creative use of the editing tools, and though the 'workaround' would be a bit complicated, it's ABSOLUTELY possible - if you're willing to put in the effort to learn how to imaginatively use the editing tools.
It might just be easier to track your part again (either back up your original track first - OR use another track, and move that section from the track you re-record to the original).
Like I said - very do-able...but I'mma busy today. Parsons gets beach-y if you don't pay attention.🤷‍♀️

@Banjaxed, the DP-008EX editing functions permit inserting silence by opening space on a track (per the OM), so this might work, but could take some trial and error if you're unfamiliar with the editing tools:
1. Back up the song.
2. Using the backup, try opening a section of silence on the track after the note to make the segment long enough to delete, then once deleted, move the track back into sync with the other tracks.

The OM should describe all the steps necessary.

If memory serves, this was a suggestion made when someone with a DP-24 needed to do something similar and the segment was too short to edit initially. You might want to make a search of the "2488, DP-24/32/SD" forum (try "insert silence") for any details.

Thank you very much Shredd and Mark for your replies. As you have pointed out removing 1 note is very time consuming so it might be easier to punch in the whole section again which only takes a minute or so. Your input is very much appreciated.

Yes - while the DP editing system is pretty effective, it does have that odd limitation of having a minimum "selectable" segment size (to copy/move/paste/silence/cut/etc). It's teensy, but I do a lot of editing in my workflow and I've run up against that limitation manymany times!
The good news is that - as mentioned above - it's entirely possible to work around it, by using the editing tools imaginatively to circumvent that limitation.

But - sometimes it's just easier to re-do the take...another great feature that most DP's have is the V-track thing (or just using another track), allowing you to select the best take, or even edit together pieces of several to make the perfect take.
This approach has been in use for decades, going back to when albums were actually "recorded" - on tape, with no computer enhancement/editing/etc...just watch RickB's video on "Roundabout". Just remember - "perfect" isn't always "best"!!!

Speaking for myself (as a decidedly amateur/hobbyist musician): I do a LOOOT of "re-takes". I recently did a segment involving playing a 16-bar (barely 20-25 seconds-long) git'r solo by the incomparable DGilmour...and it took me something like a HUNDRED takes to get one I liked well enough to use - it took HOURS, over several days. Even the simplest/smallest passage by DG is an elegant work of art that few can do justice to - and certainly not a poser like me!!!🫢🤷‍♀️

I understand exactly what you are saying and I always believe that to make a good recording the most important thing is YOU have to like it.
