US-16x08 and Sonar X3 problem

When I try to open Sonar X3 with the 16x08 operating/driver interface open, Sonar does not finish opening - it hangs up. But, when I shut off the 16x08 and the driver interface says lost the device, Sonar X3 loads up properly. Then I can turn on the 16x08 and reopen the driver inteface. Sonar X3 and the 16x08 work together fine (limited testing so far). This procedure works but is clumsy.

I'm new to the 16x08 audio interface. So, this might be the 16x08, the Sonar software/use or my own problem. I've used a ProFire 610 with Sonar X3 for over a a year and never had this kind of issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
