Hey Tascam Forums, I could really use your help.
Summary: After re-installing Mojave, and re-installing appropriate drivers, the interface no longer works. This is despite all the things I have tried listed below! I would really appreciate any help!
Here is all the details: My US-1800 interface was working fine on Mojave until I reinstalled Mojave and migrated my drive to a NVMe SSD connected to a PCIe slot. After I migrated, everything else is working fine, but my interface would no longer be recognised or connect. I open up the Tascam Control Panel, and it say no device is found. I have been trying for the last few days to fix this, and have been trying to contact Tascam - which is really tricky from Australia.
I have installed driver 3.25 (most up-to-date one) and have tried following the instructions from Tascam located here, under documents: https://tascam.jp/int/product/us-1800/download
These didn't work.
I also tried following the instructions on this forum post. I thought that maybe the problem was something to do with this: Mojave "does not seem to load drivers (kexts for Mac OS) that contain both a 32bit and 64bit binary", because that is what people kept talking about in regards to these types of problems. I tried following the instructions here: https://www.tascamforums.com/threads/us-200-not-working-with-macos-sierra.4265/
I tried editing the instructions in the thread above, and editing them to relate to the US1800, but honestly I got lost pretty quickly, and nothing seemed to work. I need the instructions in that thread to be put in more basic terms if that is the answer.
I would love it if you guys could help me out - as I'm out of ideas. I have some some mixes I have to complete soon and this is really holding me back.
Thanks in advance for any help!
