Vocal Effects without printing

I've been having difficulty figuring out the application of effects on the DP24SD. That being said, what I really want to do is apply the reverb effect so the vocalist can hear his voice with reverb, but I don't actually want to print the reverb on the recording. Is that possible with the DP24SD?

I have a NEO but if it is the same:
Press the track (the select button) that you want reverb on and turn up the reverb send button, you will hear the reverb but it will not record.
pressing the Source button and turning up the reverb send will record the reverb.

effects send 1 has pre and post.Set it to pre and it won't be recorded.
