If I'm not mistaken.... Tascam Mixing Compagnion is between the firewire device and your DAW. So you need to start TMC first and THEN start your DAW.

Sorry, but you are. TMC communicates with DM via USB. But you still need to start it before DAW. This because your DAW opens the MIDI port reserved for TMC and this makes TMC to fail while trying to communicate with DM.

On OSX in the top left is the 'TMCompanion' title for the open application, there is where the drop down menus are, at the top left, you will be able to select the screen shot option there.

There is no screen in the DMCompanion that shows the DM's INPUT/ROUTING. At least not on a mac. Right now on the DM's ROUTING screen, input is M/L 1. INP/RTN CH1, and the output is BUSS 1/DIR 1. I can record multiple tracks now, put there is no sound on play back.

Just to clarify: when you launch TMC, do you see a menu option called 'Window?' If so, click it, and in the next menu you'll see 'Screen Shot.' That's how it is on a Win/PC, at least.

Next question: the fader modules you've routed to receive output from ProTools - are they assigned to the STereo Bus? That's the button at the left top of the desk -above the 'DIR' button.
