Hi

I'm a newbie to the DP24SD so I'm sorry if I'm asking a question which should be obvious to everybody else.

I'm recording a song using tracks 1 and 2 as music backing and track 3 as the vocal. I'm using the REVERB effect but I want to use a different effect on track 4 to add a 'ghostly', echoing vocal effect. however, if I set this effect on track 4 it also affects the other tracks.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help.

Hi @Lockkeeper . You're not doing anything wrong, but you need to learn how the machine operates. You cannot set effect by track. The short answer is: to get different effects, on different tracks, you have to record the effects you want to use. Otherwise you can only use 1 main effect at a time. The exception to the above is the Guitar effect.

Then go to the top of this forum and look at the tutorial videos by @Phil Tipping. Then read the production sticky posts. It's a complicated machine but not beyond your comprehension.
